1. Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Foreman to supervise and coordinate daily electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities. The successful candidate will oversee electricians and electrical workers, ensure compliance with safety regulations and technical specifications, monitor work progress, and ensure that all assigned tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and according to the required quality standards.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of electricians and electrical workers.

• Assign tasks and monitor work progress to ensure timely completion.

• Oversee electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities.

• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.

• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.

• Enforce electrical safety procedures and workplace regulations.

• Identify electrical faults and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.

• Monitor the proper use and maintenance of electrical tools and equipment.

• Manage electrical materials and report shortages when necessary.

• Provide technical guidance and support to team members.

• Prepare daily work reports and update supervisors on project progress.

• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other construction or maintenance teams.

• Identify workplace hazards and take appropriate preventive measures.

• Ensure work is completed according to approved plans, schedules, and standards.

3. Job Requirements

• Diploma or TVET Level qualification in Electrical Technology, Electrical Installation, or a related field.

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or construction.

• Valid CoC certificate in the relevant electrical occupational area and level, as applicable.

• Proven experience supervising electricians or electrical workers.

• Good understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.

• Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and quality standards.

• Ability to organize daily work activities and meet deadlines.

• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
